Here we almost three years after the SlingCatcher hit the shelves and based off reports, it seems that ALOT (an unusually large percentage) of these units are failing mysteriously. Sling is no help for what is an obvious quality issue or perhaps something else.... But they DO have an offer for you if you want to pay them some more $$$$. Ok, so the SlingCatcher has been discontinued in the US (still can be gotten overseas) due to pressures from the cable and satellite companies BUT you SHOULD read THIS http://www.jlaforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=101752581 before you consider ANY Sling Media current or future products which can be updated by software from the company.
