For University of Kentucky basketball fans, tonight marks the first game available in high definition on Fox Sports South. As I mentioned last week, Insight is bringing Fox Sports South HD to our customers in Kentucky in markets where we already carry Fox Sports South full time as of today. Fox Sports South HD will appear in most Insight markets on channel 929. However, in Henderson, UK games on Fox Sports South will air on channel 12. If you have questions about a particular UK game that is airing on a different network, check our web site at www.SportsOnInsight.com for the most up-to-date program listings for all sports events in your area.
UK tips off tonight against the University of Miami (Ohio) at 7:00 PM Eastern. As I said last week, we know better than any of our national competitors what’s important to our customers because so many of us live and work in the communities we serve. There should be no question that Insight is your best choice for home-team sports.
I also agree that the UK game was not being broadcast in HD inspite of it being advertised as such. I have looked forward all year to watching the Cats on HD on my 100 inch screen. Don't get me started about how lousy the HD broadcast was of the UK/UT football game on ESPNU HD.

Who is to blame here? Mr. Wilner, I sure hope the ink is not dry on the contract you signed with Fox. Yes the games are on the FOX Sports South HD channel but Fox is not telecasting the games in HD. Tell me Insight did not fall for the old bait and switch. I am a huge Uk fan and will watch them on what ever is available but I am also a huge HD fan. I spend 99.5% of my viewing time in the 900 range. Will you please answer one question for UK nation. Does FSSHD plan on telecasting any UK games in HD?

Bah... false advertisement as usual. How about telling us the truth for once and give us "real" HD and "real free" HD instead of forcing us to rent the HD DVR ??? Come on ... Christmas is here and be nice to Santa. Ho ho ho ...

Definitely not in HD. And those bars are horrible. The look ugly and they can burn into our TVs. Insight needs to let Fox Sports hear about this if they are going to be paying for the rights to air the channel. I don't want those costs passed on to me, considering the channel sucks, and the only thing we really care about isn't being broadcast in HD.

"For University of Kentucky basketball fans, tonight marks the first game available in high definition on Fox Sports South" False Advertising!

I have Fox Sports Indiana, and there are many things that Fox Sports broadcasts on their HD channel that are not HD, including most of their games. The channel may be in HD, but that is no promise that the games will be in HD.

I was told by the CSR at Insight that it was in HD and that the bars on the side were for advertising. I just hung up...

So does HD mean that there are FS South HD bars on both sides of the screen? ESPN doesn't have those bars. Guess it really isnt in HD, looks just like channel 521.
