For the first time ever, I'm taking off a full two weeks with the wife and kids.
Now, I'm not much of a vacation taker (the Jersey Shore is exotic enough for me) but about two years ago, my teenage kids convinced me that we should do something really different. They enlisted the help of their step mom and the rest is history. We're off to Tanzania to chase some lions and elephants around the Serengeti. Hopefully, they won't be chasing us! Believe me, I have never done anything like this before.
Since I'm not expecting much in the way of an Internet connection out there, I've asked a few folks to "guest blog" while I'm away. Some industry folks will post as well as some Insight people who will tell you a little about themselves and their jobs.
So if something really big happens while I'm gone, don't be surprised if you don't hear from me. I may not even know about it for a couple of weeks. Of course I will be lugging my laptop with me, primarily to save the pictures we take. But if we come across an Internet connection along the way, well, I may not be able to help myself.
Bottom line, over the next two weeks, you may hear from me and you may not. But I will be back in front of the computer on August 18th. If I'm up to the task of figuring out my new digital camera and I get a few decent shots, I'll post some pics.
See you then.
