comScore: U.S. Viewers Watched Almost 31B Online Videos in November [NewTeeVee]
Google's YouTube is still the most popular destination on the web for video content. comScore released video view statistics for the month of November 2009 today that show the popular video-sharing site accounted for nearly 40 percent of all the Internet's video views during that month.
Overall, U.S. Internet viewers watched almost 31 billion videos online in November. YouTube served up 12.2 billion videos, with viewers watching an average of 94.7 videos on the site for the month. YouTube attracted over 129 million individual viewers. Hulu's long-form content came in second, with just 923.8 million videos watched, however viewers tended to watch more long-form content from Hulu than its TV.com competitor. Hulu viewers watched over 21 videos on average compared to just over 6 for CBS Interactive's TV.com.
comScore's data indicates that 84.8 percent of Internet users watched video online in November, with the average online video viewer consuming 12.2 hours of video.
