Adobe patches critical Flash hole [CNET News]
If you have Adobe's Flash Player installed on your Mac, Windows or Linux computer or Adobe Acrobat installed on a computer with any of those same operating systems, you need to download and install an important patch that Adobe released yesterday. A security vulnerability in the programs could allow an attacker to take over your computer via Flash or PDF content viewed in a web browser. Though Adobe hasn't outlined the exact nature of the vulnerability to keep it out of hackers' hands, there are apparently some hackers that are using a version of the exploit against Windows users running Adobe Acrobat 9, meaning those users are particularly vulnerable to an attack.
Adobe's Flash and Acrobat are very popular among users, and most users likely have one or both programs installed on their computer. To get the Adobe patch for these programs, visit the Adobe security advisory for this issue and download and install the patch.
