CBS Sports gets a March Madness iPhone app [CNET News]
Yesterday was Selection Sunday, and I'm sure many of you already have your brackets filled out. Whether you're a University of Louisville fan (#1 seed), Ohio State University fan (#8 seed), or even a Western Kentucky University fan (#12 seed) the next three weeks' games are some of the best sports events on television all year. I've already blogged about CBSSports.com offering streaming HD video of the tournament games for those not near a television during the games. Now, CBS has announced the release of an iPhone application for streaming game video, provided you're iPhone is connected to broadband via a wi-fi connection.
For $4.99, iPhone users can download the application from the iPhone App Store. The application features live game updates, scores, news and player and team stats along with live game video. Its a great way way to keep up with your favorite team and the rest of the action across the tournament.
