It's conventional wisdom. When it comes to communicating with the public, most companies take the safest path. They usually play their cards pretty close to their chest. I'm joining the blogsosphere to challenge that "wisdom."

Hulu may be getting Disney programming

Report: Disney Could Join Hulu [NewTeeVee]

Hulu's programming library could be getting a big shot in the arm if the rumors are true. Currently the site features content from NBC Universal and Fox, but according to paidContent, Disney is in talks with the streaming portal to add programming to the site. Disney could provide programming from ABC and ESPN to Hulu. The paidContent report indicates that Disnet would provide its programming in exchange for a 10 percent stake in Hulu.

Adding Disney's content to Hulu would cement the site's reputation for television programming on the web. But, Hulu's exclusive content deals with NBCU and Fox mean that those companies might have something to say about Disney coming into their space. We'll wait to see whether this rumor pans out.
